Urban Earth designs sustainable and naturalistic gardens capable of stimulating the senses and inspiring the soul.
We avoid the ‘cookie-cutter’ approach to garden design plans and prefer to create contextual designs that complement their surroundings. This requires an intimate understanding of the unique qualities of the garden and outdoor space.
Urban Earth designs are renowned for their eclectic and untamed qualities, with a focus on contrast and texture. We strive to push the envelope creatively and juxtapose styles, influences and genres into original and bold garden designs.
The design process starts with an onsite consultation and through establishing a clear understanding of your needs and objectives.
Design services
Design consultation
Design consultation occurs onsite with our clients, and takes approximately one hour, where design options, plant types, elements and the potential of your outdoor space will be discussed.
Following the consultation a written proposal is forwarded to you, with a cost estimate to develop the design.
Our design consultation fee is $110 (incl GST) and is payable at the time of consultation.
Should you decide to commission a design, the consultation fee is fully deducted from your design costs. Design fees vary according to the requirements and the scale of the project.
Concept plans
Concept plans include overall plans of the garden, images of key design elements and notes on plants and materials. It provides clients with a visual image of the new garden.
Garden design plan
These plans are drawn to scale and show the exact layout of all design elements; including hard surfaces, planting areas, screens or features, and also includes a detailed plant list and our ‘insight’ page of inspiration. Upon design plan completion, a construction quote is prepared for the installation of the new garden.
Plant lists
Well-considered plant selection is a key step in developing a balanced and perpetuating garden. Plant lists are prepared for clients who do not require major structural changes, but are seeking advice on plant selection and location. This document includes detailed plant lists and quotation to supply and install.
Sculpture and feature design
Urban earth is available to design, source or construct a wide range of sculpture or features.
Please allow between four to six weeks for design; as this gives us sufficient time to deliver the best results.
